Haryana makes HSVP official's presence mandatory for auction plot registration

Haryana's revenue department now requires an authorized HSVP official to be physically present at the tehsil office when a sale deed is executed for a plot bought through an HSVP e-auction. Previously a signed authorization letter from HSVP was enough and no HSVP representative needed to attend in person.

The change was introduced to bring HSVP registrations in line with standard sub-registrar practice, where both buyer and seller representatives must appear for identity verification and biometrics. Because HSVP reportedly lacks enough staff to attend every registration promptly, some buyers may face delays completing their sale deed, which is a practical timing risk worth noting in any report covering an in progress HSVP allotment.
