Punjab and Haryana High Court clears way for DTCP action against Gurugram building violations
· Reported by The Realty Times
The Punjab and Haryana High Court held that including a licensed colony within municipal corporation limits does not take away Haryana DTCP's power to take enforcement action under the 1975 Act against building violations by individual owners and occupants. The ruling comes amid a DTCP survey of 14,757 plots in DLF Phases 1 to 5 in Gurugram that found violations. Buyers and lenders should treat building compliance, sanction plans and compounding status as title-adjacent risk checks in such colonies.
