1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how LegiScore uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar tracking technologies when you visit or use our AI-powered property analysis platform.
We use these technologies to provide essential functionality, understand how visitors interact with our platform, measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and remember your preferences. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data.
By continuing to use LegiScore, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. You can manage your preferences at any time through the cookie consent banner or your browser settings.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, improve performance, and provide information to the website operators.
First-Party Cookies. Set by LegiScore directly. These are essential for core functionality such as authentication, preferences, and session management. Only our platform can read these cookies.
Third-Party Cookies. Set by external services (Google Analytics, advertising platforms) that we integrate with. These services may use the information to track your browsing across different websites.
Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain on your device until they expire or you delete them).
3. Categories of Cookies

Enhanced Conversions (Google Ads). When you complete certain actions (e.g., sign up, purchase), a hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address may be sent to Google to improve conversion measurement accuracy. This data is one-way hashed and cannot be reversed. It is used solely to match conversion events with ad interactions in a privacy-preserving manner.
4. Device and Browser Fingerprinting (Fraud Prevention)
Always Active for Security — Fingerprinting signals cannot be disabled without losing access to fraud-sensitive features (payments, OTP login).
To protect users and the platform from abuse, we collect a limited set of device and browser signals that are combined into a non-reversible hash used solely for fraud detection and account integrity. These signals are not used for advertising or behavioural profiling.
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Detect duplicate accounts, OTP abuse, payment fraud, and bot traffic. |
| Methods | Canvas fingerprint, audio context fingerprint, font-list fingerprint, screen resolution + timezone, plugin signature, IP address class. |
| Duration | Session + 30-day rolling hash. |
| Lawful Basis (DPDP Act, 2023) | Legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention. |
| Opt-out | Cannot be disabled without losing access to fraud-sensitive features (payments, OTP login). |
5. Analytics Granularity
We use the following third-party analytics tools. Each has a distinct purpose and retention window; where opt-out is available, it can be exercised via the cookie banner or the provider links below.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Anonymised aggregate usage analytics. Retention: 14 months. Opt-out by disabling analytics cookies in the cookie banner.
Meta Pixel (Facebook). Conversion tracking for marketing campaigns. Opt-out by disabling advertising cookies in the cookie banner.

6. Local and Session Storage
We use browser localStorage to store functional data that enhances your experience on the platform. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless explicitly required for functionality.
Session storage data is temporary and is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab. It is used to maintain context during your current browsing session.
| Data Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Campaign attribution parameters | Tracks which marketing campaign brought you to the platform |
| Search context | Preserves your current search state during the session |

Browser Settings. Most modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. You can typically find these options under Privacy, Security, or Cookies in your browser preferences. Refer to your browser's help documentation for specific instructions.
