Survey Number Search by Owner in Karnataka
A name-keyed search across the revenue or registration register, returning the holdings or transactions recorded against a person in a given jurisdiction.
Name-keyed lookup across the district. Kannada and transliterated spellings do not always agree, so repeat the search in both.
Issued through Karnataka Bhoomi · Kaveri Online Services (registration).
What it proves
- What the register records against that name in that jurisdiction and period
- A cross-check on a seller who claims to hold more, or less, than the register shows
What it does not prove
- Completeness. Holdings under a different spelling, an initial, a joint name, a firm or an alias will not surface
- Identity. Common names return other people, and the register does not disambiguate them
How to obtain it
- Search the state portal by district, taluk and village with the name as it appears in the deed, and repeat with plausible variants
- Corroborate every hit against the survey number rather than accepting the name match
Where people get caught
- Registers hold names in the local script and in transliteration, and the two do not always agree. A search in one script can miss holdings recorded in the other
- A name search is an investigative lead, never a clearance. Nothing found means nothing was found under that spelling
